Wigley Blue Sky Champion

Richard Wigley overcame a solid challenge by Dylan Christensen 3-2, 3-1 to win his third event in a row and claim the Blue Sky Championships. In the semis Christensen was too tough for Victor Strange in a 3-1, 3-2 win and Wigley was able to outlast Kyle Kezos in three closely contested sets 2-3, 3-0, 3-1.

"I really wanted this event, but I don't expect this winning streak to go on much longer." This Super Saturday Tournament program is teaching the younger players how to win and by playing tournaments every Saturday they will," said Wigley.

Jade Frampton is a case in point who is definately a player to remember. Jade will be competing against the best juniors in Las Vegas this week and her chances are very good to win her division. Jason Roberts came through the back draw to win the "A" Consolations 3-1, 3-1 over Mike Schijf.

The Yucca Doubles Open is set for May 17th at 10:30AM. No Registration required. Entry is $5 per player. Tennis Balls and prizes for winners are provided. Matches are played at the Tonaquint Tennis Center on Dixie Drive. Players of all levels are encouraged to drop in.
