Moyle plays a perfect match to win Coyote Championships
ST. GEORGE: Sam Moyle played a perfect match to defeat Gavin Rahde 3-2, 2-3, 3-2 in finals of the Coyote Championships July 30 th. The Super Saturday Tennis matches use a no tiebreaker best of three sets with the first one to reach three games. This was the first match to have both players hold serve from start to finish with Sam serving first and holding throughout for the victory. This was a milestone match as after 2,507 Super Saturday Tennis matches since 2001. This was the first one to go the distance with neither player losing serve.
“This was the best I have ever seen Gavin play” said Ricky Rahde, Gavin’s younger brother. “It was a fun match they both played great.”
The Consolation finals was equally exciting as Taylor Richards came back from 0-3 and 0-2 to win 6 straight games and steal a victory 0-2, 0-2, 3-2 over Ron Daly of Santa Clara.
