TENNIS TOURNAMENT
ZION NATIONALS:
October 19th Dennis Fowler defeats A.J. Bartlett 3-2, 3-2
Dennis Fowler defeated two time winner A.J. Bartlett in commanding fashion 3-2, 3-2 in the Zion Nationals Super Saturday Tennis Event. Fowler is a new resident of Southern Utah and adds a great tennis background which includes playing professional events in southern California where the competition is the best in the nation. The quarterfinals were close for both Bartlett and Fowler as Bartlett defeated Kyle Kezos 3-2 in the third and Fowler got by Marc Manuele 3-2 in the third after saving a couple of match points.
Mike Rankin's hopes of winning another tournament were ended by Bartlett in the semi's 3-0, 3-0. The draw for this event was one of the best all year with 5 former champions facing off in the field. Dow Christensen, Pine View's Tennis coach, played 5 matches to eventually win the consolation 3-0, 3-2 over Sam Moyle of Hurricane..
