TENNIS TOURNAMENT
WinterSunshine Championships:
December 14th Richard Wigley def. Kenny Burdick 3-2, 0-3, 3-0
Former Junior Collegiate #1 player Richard Wigley defeated future Collegiate player Kenny Burdick in the finals of the Winter Sunshine Championships. Kenny Burdick is planning to move up into the college ranks this spring at BYU Hawaii and is making steady progress to that goal. Kenny got by the hard serving Ryan Lakey in the semifinals 3-1, 3-1 and the every improving Sam Moyle of Hurricane in the quarterfinals 3-2, 3-2 to face Wigley in the finals.
The event was played at the beautiful Tonaquint Tennis Facility and sponsored by the St. George Tennis Academy and Jimmy Johns. Players of all levels are encouraged to drop in for this fun and competitive tournament. Come with or without a partner. Entry is $5 per player. No Registration required.
